Founded by Unitarian women at the turn of the century, SouthSide Early Childhood Center (formerly known as SSDN) continues its mission of serving needy families by providing nurturing child care and supportive services to families in a diverse and inclusive environment. Educational activities are child-centered and address the individual needs of each child. Medical and dental care are provided through partnerships in the community. Developmental specialists both in house and from the community address challenges the children face. Healthy meals and snacks are prepared on site daily. SouthSide's Family Partnership Program provides ongoing support and regular incentives for active involvement at SouthSide.
