Arising out of the Green Sanctuary and Religious Education committees, we offered our first earth-based celebration of the darkness and the returning light at Winter Solstice in 2009. We've celebrated each Equinox and Solstice since then with an intergenerational gathering which can include a craft related to the season, a special ceremony, and a potluck meal. We also celebrate many of the cross-quarter holidays, and typically offer a Sunday morning whole-church worship service for Summer Solstice.
