Special Events
Each year there are a series of special events for the congregation and community. These are fun social gatherings (usually involving food!) and some are fundraisers. Attending and/or helping with logistics is a great way to get to know other people in the church community.
These events may include:
Pancake Breakfast

Often held in early September, it is a great way for people to re-connect after summer.
Halloween Party
The children have an annual party on the Sunday closest to Halloween. Events include Trick-or-Treating the congregation for UNICEF, and, of course, a costume parade.

Potlucks
Generally there is a potluck dinner before the Mid-Winter meeting, a great way to sample the creations of the wonderful cooks in the congregation.
Unfish Fry
Known throughout the St. Louis community, the Unfish is a vegetarian alternative to the Fish Frys that occur during the season of Lent. The Unfish Fry features a Mediterranean inspired menu that is often noted as one

of the 10 Best Fish Frys in the Metro area by the Riverfront Times (even though there is no fish served). This delicious event has many repeat customers and is highly anticipated by many!
Easter Egg Hunt
After the Easter morning service, the children have fun hunting for Easter Eggs on the church grounds.

Fellowship Dinner
Held in the spring, this dinner is a time we celebrate our new members and honor our long time members.
Church Picnic
Usually held in Tower Grove Park in June, the picnic is a chance for people to gather, share food and play games. Often other UU congregations in the area join the fun.

This is only a sampling of events. New ways to have fun are always being discovered!
