Join Rev. Kim and the Facilities Cluster as we clean up the church property in the aftermath of Friday's tornado!
2 pm - 5 pm
5007 Waterman Blvd.
We'll provide:
- Snacks
- Water
- Trash bags
- A small number of hand tools.
Please bring:
- Tools if you have them: Rakes, brooms, loppers, trimmers, yard waste bags
- Saws: There is no power onsite, so battery operated, gas powered or hand powered only.
- Gloves, close-toed shoes, and long pants as we'll be taking care of large limbs and cleaning up debris which could include wood, shingles and metal.
- Consider bringing safety goggles and masks
How to get to the church:
- As of 2 pm Saturday, Kingshighway is still closed between I-64 and Delmar
- Plan to cross I-64 on the west side of the city and then cut across to the church.
- Carpool. Parking may be challenging and the church lot is full of branches and debris. Many roads have been cleared, but the debris is now on sidewalks and parking areas.
- You may have to park and walk. Kingshighway is open to pedestrians, so you can come up on the east side and walk across to the church.
