Designated Collection Nominations Now Open

First Church offers a Designated Collection Program to put our faith into action and support good work in our community. Through the program, Members and Pledging Friends may nominate community nonprofits and church programs and projects as potential recipients of Sunday plate collections. Nominees must be focused on addressing significant community challenges and serving those populations most affected such as the unhoused, underserved and families and children in need.
Nominations are reviewed by committee with consideration given to the fit with First Church’s mission and values as well as the potential recipient’s core focus, impact, and connection to our First Church community.
Nomination forms are easily completed online by clicking on this link. Copies may also be downloaded and mailed to Lynn Hunt, Church Administrator.
All 2026-27 Church Year nominations must meet program criteria listed on the nomination form and be received by Monday, July 13th for consideration. Decisions are typically made by mid-August with individuals submitting nominations promptly notified. The congregation is informed of the slate of Designated Collection recipients for the year through the E-News.
Church policy for the Designated Collection Program may be found on the church’s website under “Forms and Documents.” Questions about the program may be forwarded to our Church Administrator, Lynn Hunt, at lhunt [at] firstuustlouis.org (lhunt[at]firstuustlouis[dot]org).
