Collaborative Accompanist Job Posting

FIRST UNITARIAN CHURCH OF ST. LOUIS

JOB OPPORTUNITY

COLLABORATIVE PIANIST

First Unitarian Church of St. Louis, a liberal faith community in the City’s Central West End neighborhood, is seeking a Collaborative Pianist. This is a 9 month position from September 2026-May 2027. The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide music for Sunday morning services and accompaniment of the choir. Sunday services are held at 10:00 AM each week and choir rehearsals are held weekly on Wednesday evenings with an average of two Sunday service performances by the choir each month.  Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

The church features two fine instruments: A Steinway Model B concert grand piano and a Dobson tracker organ, both of which are available to the musician selected for the position. The 25-member choir provides a wide variety of sacred and secular music, led by an experienced director. Our Lead Minister is a key supporter of the music program, recognizing the importance of connecting music with the Sunday morning worship.
