To continue our call for racial justice in our world, the Toward Justice Anti-Racism group will continue to gather for silent, social witnessing every Saturday in June from 10:00 - 11:00 am. As Unitarian Universalists we are called to respond to the continued violence that people of color face in our society and put our collective voices towards building a world that dismantles white supremacy and is, instead, guided by equity, justice and compassion for all.
There are many rallies and actions being organized in the St. Louis area. We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic impacts who might attend some of these events. Given the pressures of the pandemic and the need for social distancing, the Toward Justice Anti-Racism group is offering socially distanced, social witnessing actions in solidarity with other community actions.
We will gather on the sidewalk along Kingshighway by the church building at 10:00 am each Saturday in June. These will be a silent actions.
Please Note:
- Spaces will be marked on the sidewalk for individuals or family groups to stand.
- The Church building will not be open.
- Masks are required.
- If more people attend than we can safely accommodate with social distancing, we will spread out along other sidewalks in our area and at the corner of Delmar and Kingshighway.
- Please bring your sunscreen and own water.
Please let us know if you will be attending so we can plan accordingly. You can send your RSVP to: (email hidden; JavaScript is required)
