Feasts & Festivals Committee

The Feasts & Festivals Committee is dedicated to planning and coordinating the traditional fellowship events during the church year. Those events include Homecoming, Hanging of the Greens, Downing of the Browns, the Mid-Winter Congregational meeting, and Fellowship Dinner.

We try to strengthen our role in keeping the kitchens cleaned and organized! We provide laundry service for the church's towels and tablecloths. Annually, we cull and update church supplies for events, for example, new Christmas garland, candles, bows, lighting, and craft items.

There are many details that are important in planning a successful event at church. Our committee developed a planning and evaluation tool that has helped us make sure we have provided all the elements. After each event, we discuss what worked and what failed and document this for use in planning future events.

We are a committee who work hard, enjoy each other's friendship, and we also have a lot of fun. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 in Fellowship Hall (except during the summer).

You are encouraged to contact the chairperson of the Feasts & Festivals Committee at with any questions you may have about it or to find out how you can get involved.
