Fair trade salesFirst Church sponsors fair trade coffee at church functions and sells it in Fellowship Hall the first and third Sundays of each month. The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee Coffee project partners with Equal Exchange, a worker-owned, fair trade company that follows the standards and principles of fair trade on 100 percent of its products. Fair trade offers small farmers an economically stable, guaranteed-income trade relationship, enabling them to provide their families with food, clothing, and medicine. Members and friends can support small farmers and their cooperatives by buying Fair Trade coffee, tea, chocolate, and olive oil through the Fair Trade Coffee project at First Church.
