Experienced Organist/Accompanist Wanted
First Unitarian Church of Saint Louis in the City's Central West End is in search of an organist and accompanist to support our traditional worship services and our high-quality music program.
The successful candidate will provide a diverse organ repertoire, support congregational hymn singing and accompany the choir on our Dobson Tracker Organ as well as piano.
In addition, the organist and accompanist will rehearse Wednesday evenings with the choir. The position is part-time, reporting to the Music Director/Choir Director. Primary responsibilities occur late August through mid June, with two services most Sundays.
Job requirements:
- 5-10 years + experience
- Excellent references
- Mastery of the traditional organ repertoire
- Audition, including self-chosen music as well as sight reading
- Collaboration with the Music Director/Minister on music selection
