Update From The Search Committee
January 2011
Your Search Committee is happy to report that we have finished the round of telephone interviews and have four viable excellent candidates. We will invite three or perhaps four of these candidates to St. Louis for Precandidating Weekend in order to get to know them better. Following this phase we will select one candidate who will mutually select us, and present this candidate to the congregation the first week in April. You will hear the candidate preach two sermons. The candidate will attend committee meetings and many social events to increase the chances of you getting personal time with the them.
The final vote on the candidate will be taken after the second Sunday sermon on April 10. You should note and remember that in order to vote on the candidate, you will need to have been a member for 60 days and should sign the membership book by February 8, 2011. Please contact Rev. Marino or president, Kathy Wire about membership.
We are entering a time period when we will be sharing less information, according to the candidating rules, but we welcome your comments and questions.
Do you have questions or comments about the search process?
You can send an e-mail to the whole committee at
or stop by our table in Fellowship Hall after Sunday services. We also welcome you to talk with us individually—just check the current church directory for our personal contact information.
